Tonight I will be heading out onto the Los Angeles freeways.
The particular freeway I take into the city rarely has traffic, is on a big hill(small mountain) and you have to be in the right hand lane to exit unto the next freeway.
The problem I encounter is that if I go the 65 I am comfortable with 9/10 times someone is tailgating me. That makes me incredibly nervous.
Accidents happen. Daily. Why don't we assume and prepare more for them while driving?
You might think other people are all a-holes but what about you? Spilled any coffee lately, stubbed your toe, dropped something?
Do you abide by the 3 second rule?
I hope that the tailgater will pass me or I get over a lane so they can zip by me but I have to stay in the right hand lane so I won't miss my exit. A young woman was tailgating me, laughing recently, well I assume from her huge mocking smile. My heart kind of sank.
Did she not have someone she loved that she was excited to talk to or see when she arrived where she was going? Did she know the power she was extolling at that moment?
