Cars "Losing" Control

Journalists, can you all please stop referring to car crashes as incidents where the car is described as losing control?

This only demonstrates two things:

1. It devalues the responsibility we humans have in regards to preventing car crashes.

2. You are spreading the myth that cars have personalities like the horror film "Christine."

Cars do not lose control. Humans make poor choices in regards to the way they choose to drive. Yes, every once in a blue moon a freak incident will occur where a pedal might get stuck in drive or the brakes don't work, I understand that.

But 80% of car crashes are preventable.

Cars are not alive.

We are alive.

Stop blaming cars.

It just makes you sound like an idiot.
