I strongly dislike the way car crashes are talked about in the media and even with people. "Dangerous road" or "the car lost control."
Those phrases imply that a road or a car is a human being and in control.
That's not the way it goes. We are in charge. 80% of crashes are avoidable. If you read further into the report normally excessive speed is to blame, tailgating or some type of distract driving.
Yes, sometimes something happens and it really is an accident. But most of the time that's not the case. Teach your kids and family the truth, "Christine" was just a movie and there's (mostly) no excuse for car crashes.
